<p>Years ago when Henri and Fiona restarted the workshop, they continued using the red local clay with veins, some 15 miles away, which is why this indigenous enterprise had been set up there initially. As time passed it became apparent that customers were seeking brighter colours as well as a more robust range of tableware which led to using a white stoneware body suitable for microwave and dishwasher. During a holiday abroad the idea of creating a specific new range using fine lines on the main clay body was born and subsequently the pottery was commissioned a large order from Ashford Castle hence the name for this extensive collection.</p>
